چکیده

An approach for tracking the motion of a rigid object using parameterized ow models and a compact-structure constraint is proposed. While polynomial parameterized ow models have been shown to be eeective in tracking the rigid motion of planar objects, these models are inappropriate for tracking moving objects that change appearance revealing their 3D structure. We extend these models by adding a structure-compactness constraint that accounts for image motion that deviates from a planar structure. The constraint is based on the assumption that object structure variations are limited with respect to planar object projection onto the image plane and therefore can be expressed as a direct constraint on the image motion. The performance of the algorithm is demonstrated on several long image sequences of rigidly moving objects.

Non-rigid Face Tracking with Local Appearance Consistency Constraint.

In this paper we present a new discriminative approach to achieve consistent and efficient tracking of non-rigid object motion, such as facial expressions. By utilizing both spatial and temporal appearance coherence at the patch level, the proposed approach can reduce ambiguity and increase accuracy. Recent research demonstrates that feature based approaches, such as constrained local models (C...

Robust Hybrid Motion Force Control Algorithm for Robot Manipulators

In this paper we present a robust hybrid motion/force controller for rigid robot manipulators. The main contribution of this paper is that the proposed hybrid control system is able to accomplish motion objectives in free directions and force objectives in constrained directions under parametric uncertainty both in robot dynamics and stiffness constraint constant. Also, the given scheme is prov...

Robot Motion Vision Pait I: Theory

A direct method called fixation is introduced for solving the general motion vision problem, arbitrary motion relative to an arbitrary environment. This method results in a linear constraint equation which explicitly expresses the rotational velocity in terms of the translational velocity. The combination of this constraint equation with the Brightness-Change Constraint Equation solves the gene...

QFT Control of a Two-Link Rigid-Flexible Manipulator

This paper evaluates a new and simple controller design method based on QFT (quantitative feedback theory) for a two-link manipulator whose first link is rigid and the second is flexible. A piezoelectric patch is attached to the surface of the flexible link for vibration suppression of it. This system is modeled as a nonlinear multi-input multi-output (MIMO) control systems whose inputs are two...

Number : Title : Non - Rigid Face Tracking with Enforced Convexity and Local Appearance Consistency

Convex quadratic fitting (CQF) has demonstrated great success recently in the task of non-rigidly registering a face in a still image using a constrained local model (CLM). A CLM is a commonly used model for non-rigid object registration and contains two components: (i) local patch-experts that model the appearance of each landmark in the object, and (ii) a global shape prior describing how eac...
